Obama appointees admit during yesterday’s budget oversight committee hearing they only began to prepare their budgets for sequestration, a bill passed in August 2011, at the beginning of 2013. It would appear few if any in the administration believed the cuts would go through, therefore doing little to know preparation to ensure cuts would minimize impacts to vital services.
