Why Should Anyone Believe Bernanke When He Says “Were Not Out of Ammo”

Bernanke came out today and said about the Fed, “they are not out of ammo.” Of course this line has been used before in describing the power of the Federal Reserve, as recently as September 21, 2010 by the former Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond President,  Al Broaddus.

What they do with these types of statements is try to convince people the Fed is in control. But it is just the words they think that will move markets, not actual policy. In other words, they think that just by mentioning something, it is gospel….and so the people and markets will react accordingly, accomplishing their goals.

Here’s the Proof Bernanke “Thinks” the Fed Is In Control

Bernanke in his infamous 2002 speech, “Deflation; Making Sure “It” Doesn’t Happen Here” said the following;

Like gold, U.S. dollars have value only to the extent that they are strictly limited in supply. But the U.S. government has a technology, called a printing press (or, today, its electronic equivalent), that allows it to produce as many U.S. dollars as it wishes at essentially no cost. By increasing the number of U.S. dollars in circulation, or even by credibly threatening to do so, the U.S. government can also reduce the value of a dollar in terms of goods and services, which is equivalent to raising the prices in dollars of those goods and services. We conclude that, under a paper-money system, a determined government can always generate higher spending and hence positive inflation.

Lets forget for the moment that Bernanke compares U.S. Dollars to gold. He thinks that “by credibly threatening to” increase the number of dollars (quantitative easing), they can achieve the desired result of “higher spending and hence positive inflation.”

Bernanke, in this case, believes that what comes out of the Fed’s mouth can influence markets. In fact, the Fed has been relevant in doing this as I pointed out in September of 2008 in The Fed Is Relevant…. For Now…. However….. when the Fed was trying to rescue their favored investment houses and banks.

If one were to analyze Bernanke’s statement “they are not out of ammo” further, and inverse it, does anyone really think the Fed would ever come out and say; “Hey America, we’re out of ammo?” Would big Ben Bernanke ever say such a thing? Of course not!

So why should anyone believe Bernanke when he says they’re not out of ammo? Bernanke is all talk and the truth of the matter is, if the Fed uses more quantitative easing through buying of bonds or printing more dollars, it will push the economy into a tailspin, the likes we have not seen since the Great Depression.

The fact of the matter, the Fed is damned if the do and damned if they don’t. Read that sentence again and please be clear, they are damned either way.

The Ammo Itself Needs to be Called Into Question

The reason they are damned is the ammo itself that needs to be called into question. The Fed’s ammo is quantitative easing, or the printing of more Federal Reserve Notes. But it is faith in this ammo that matters. Without this faith in the system, the Fed would fall flat on their face and they know it.

That’s why, in a sense, they are like like the Wizard of Oz saying “Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.” The Wizard didn’t want you to questions things, but listen to him. Bernanke is no different. Pay attention to what we say! We are the almighty Fed and if we tell you we have ammo, then, well, we do! Do not question us! Do not arouse the wrath of the great and powerful Oz Fed!

Faith in the Fed and Its Ammo

When this faith in the Fed, and especially what makes up their ammo, begins to diminish, the game is over. They know it.

Ironically, the increasing of the ammo doesn’t mean the gun shoots faster either. Bernanke and congress think it does, and so does Paul Krugman, but all it really accomplishes, as it has with Japan for over a decade, is a delay of the inevitable bust.

Japan’s Debt to GDP ratio is the highest in the world, and the Yen is setting itself up for a huge fall.

But it is the psychology of the masses that dictates the Japanese government and Fed to be forced to use words to keep fooling their citizens by saying things like “they have more ammo.” The Fed actually believes this is all that’s needed.

What happens when their hand is exposed? Keep an eye on Japan for answers.

The Yen gained 13% versus the U.S. dollar the past few months, but it still lost 7.87% priced in gold as seen in the chart below. That’s why comparing one fiat currency versus another doesn’t give you the whole picture.

How can people not see the forest through the trees?

Perhaps it’s revealed in the lyrics of an 80′s song “What Are Words For?” by Missing Persons;

Pursue it further and another thing you’ll find
Not only are they deaf and dumb they could be going blind and no one notices
I think I’ll dye my hair blue

Media overload bombarding you with action
It’s getting near impossible to cause distraction
Someone answer me before I pull out the plug

What are words for when no one listens anymore
What are words for when no one listens
What are words for when no one listens it’s no use talkin at all

When People stop listening to the Fed, because they have done their homework and know what’s behind the curtain; a flawed monetary system, the Fed’s game will end. But until that time, you’ll hear people from the Fed screaming all the way to the end; “I am the great and powerful Oz Fed….”

In the meantime, prepare yourself with some gold and silver for your portfolio now, ahead of the Fed end game. Unless of course you think the Fed and congress can somehow pay off all the debt, live within its means, reverse unemployment, stimulate the economy, pay for; infrastructure, government jobs, social security, medicare, Obama’s health plan, city and state government shortfalls, pension short falls, Fannie and Freddie all the while keeping interest rates low and preventing an economic meltdown (and that’s just off the top of my head!).

Unlike Oz who gave the scarecrow a brain, there are no brains in congress or at the Fed. If there were, then they would have prevented our nations slide into this deep recession with no end in sight. Now all of a sudden they’re smart enough to get us out of the mess they created?

Upcoming articles I’m working on relate to whether the stock market is indicative of the U.S. economy, and the real problems with the banks in the U.S.

Another brilliant find. It pretty much sums some of the following and much of what we have been saying:

    1. George Bush Sr. was the last president to have SOME policy decision making capacity.

    2. The subsequent three were chosen to woo the public, but increasingly orchestrated by a powerful and wealthy group.

    3. Sarah Palin almost certainly to be the Republic candidate for the 2012 elections, an easy puppet, much like Bush junior.

    4. Eventually they will choose an electrician or plumber as candidate, a folksy choice to bamboozle the crowd.

    5. One guest suggests watching “A face in the crowd”, a powerful movie depicting a Glenn Beck character, brought to power, seemingly through his own efforts, but in fact chosen by the elite. Probably a Bill Clinton analogue as well.

    6. This last is perhaps the most interesting and novel to me, but somehow not surprising. There will be a push for a Third party, a “radical centre” (oxymoron}, perhaps led by E. Bayh to defeat the left and right.
In this scenario, Obama will be painted as someone who did his best, but despite majority rule, failed. Palin, well she’ll be easy to deal with, as we all know.
But this emerging third party will win the day, underscoring once again that the elite orchestrate in advance the manipulation of an IGNORANT crowd, feeding them what they clamour for, all the while advancing their plans. Well, isn’t that what they have been doing all along?

    7. We have reached a critical stage where education of the masses is the ONLY mechanism by which, not a just society (that’s an ideal), but a more just society can be created.

One last, but not least comment as my points don’t include all of the podcast.

For oligarchs to forfeit the loss of Emanuel, Axelrod and Summers, all Jewish and therefore intelligence earpieces to the WH is highly symbolic. IMO, it forecasts a decisive removal of presidential powers, even more than present, and will begin with the November elections.

As an aside but related, it is expected that the stock market will continue to hold until the election, thereby depressing the dollar and consequently increasing the value of gold and silver.

    Venice,

thank you SO much for summarizing the key points from the podcast. I’m glad you found it important, too.

This carefully orchestrated plan for the upcoming presidential election should surprise us, just as you said, it’s still disgusting to hear. It makes one want to throw their hands up and say forget it. This beast is never going to be slain, especially with these kinds of dollars being plunked down on the table. It will be so hard to see this evolve as time goes on.

Mike Piper went into further detail about the “divine plan” for the coming presidential election & the creation of the third party on his Internet radio show last night. Unfortunately, I fell asleep midway through it and will have to re-listen. Nonetheless, you captured the essence of it quite well in your summary.

As these guys said, Beck is the designated leader of the populist movement in this country and his job is to control the thinking of all the good people out there; to coral them, control them, keep them loyal to the interest of the Jewish Lobby which is bankrupting this country on many levels…morally, politically and last but not least financially. He is simply the new Jim Jones, and to think he’s fooled THAT many people is frightening. When Beck held his rally in D.C. I knew it was for nefarious reasons. Now I hear he told the people not to bring signs to protest at these rallies – bring your children. WTH? Using the children as pawns in the game.

    Morning, Prairie

At first glance it may seem exciting to see that Faux News headline about 9/11. It’s even more worrisome when you learn that Faux News has an “ongoing” investigation into 9/11, and they still believe that Atta was the mastermind. Their ongoing investigation will make sure the good people NEVER know the truth. This is actually troublesome to me. ANY news about 9/11 that comes through “regular channels” including Faux News simply follows their ultimate agenda of continuing to suppress the truth and make sure no one doubts Muslims were involved…maybe even going a bit further to indicate they were in cahoots with the Defense Dept. Laughable.

Take a look at Daniel Hopsicker’s website – a man who has been investigating Atta and the Venice airport in Florida from day one. What he has uncovered is far more than he ever expected and far more than we’ll ever hear through regular media channels. It isn’t just about 9/11 either.

Doug, I have intimate knowledge of the old Religious Right movement. I lived in Lynchburg, Va just down the street from Falwell’s church, home and university. I studied their ways for ten years while living there. Now I know where all of Falwell’s money has come from – the Rothschild Banking elite – Liberty Universities kids are being brainwashed…you have no idea how many former students told me this. They are being taught to support war so as to reach Armegeddon in their lifetimes so the non sinner goes to the holy land. This is MK Ultra being used intentionally on innocent kids who attend Liberty who are then turned into the foot soldiers for the Christian Zionist movemenet artificially created Rothschild Armegeddon movement.

    Helen,

I must have missed that post of your earlier. Will take a look. Yes, I knew Falwell was financed by the elite. I believe it was Wayne Madsen – check his archives if you want – has written extensively about this. He covered details of it, I believe, last year while writing about the “players” at the prayer breakfast. I remember being shocked at some of the names I was reading.

Remember that Beck is a Mormon. According to some reports, the Rothschilds are connected to the Mormon empire. Can’t forget they, too, have their own bible.

  39. Posted October 5, 2010 at 11:52 am | Permalink

Assume for a moment that Liberty is a psyop operation, and these kids, the majority of them are poor or have behavior problems, or mental problems attend this school. These kids, ALL OF THEM, must take mandatory Bible Study and I’ll bet you they read Scofield. What if these kids then enlist in our military forces? And what if these kids are assigned to NorthComm? Think about it. Those young men and women may, and I say may, be so brainwashed by the time they are assigned that they indeed become the robotic warriors spoken about who will think nothing of killing you and me b/c they believe, without a scintilla of doubt, that they are the chosen ones to enter God’s kingdom, but before they do, they must bring about Armegeddon. This scares the crap out of me!

  40. Posted October 5, 2010 at 11:59 am | Permalink

I know for a fact Jerry would offer a free education or super cheap education to poor kids; especially kids who were kicked out of other colleges and their parents were determined to get them educated. These evangelicals would send them to Liberty. Now, Jerry would enroll say 10k kids but only had enough dorm space for say 8k. Those 2k kids would then go out into the L’burg community and knock on total strangers doors asking the homeowner if they could live there for the semester. I know many families who opened their homes to these kids.

That was in the early 90s. Since then, Liberty has grown so vastly it’s taken over Candler’s Mountain. It’s huge. What if these kids are the Northcomm or 0′s SS? OMG! I just can’t imagine.

You know me so well. That’s scary.

Every war needs foot soldiers right? If one spent four years at Liberty they understand “obedience”. It is drilled into them. We’ve all been reading stories of late about the evangelical influence growing in our military. What if these kids from Libert and all of the other evangelical churches were recruited after four years of psyop/brainwashing and were then recruited into the military? With a degree they can become officers, right? Now, if the unit and the officer came from these feeder schools and their ultimate goal is to be with God, then killing anyone to reach that goal means nothing to them. Their goal is to be with God, period, and they are trained as such through MK Ultra techniques.

These students may very well become America’s suicide bombers. Meaning, we don’t know the extent of the psyop program and if we were to take everything we’ve learned, including the podcast listened to this morning at the uglytruth, and knowing Beck and Palin are using code to get these christian zionists mobilized then we’ve got one helluva challenge lying before us to overcome these christian warriors.

but the attendant at boarding CAN NOT BE SO STUPID TO LET 1 PASS NOT ON THAT LIST, let alone 4!!

And then, you have 4 attendants at boarding to deal with–not one!! And they have lists and they are not giving those lists up.

    re; Venice – 8:43 pm

    Hi Venice,

I agree with the author when he says that investors should already be in these stocks. From a “buy and hold” perspective, but timing is everything. Of course I only recommend this for moderate to aggressive investors AFTER they have established a 10% base in physical gold and silver.

When the author calls these mining stocks “safe, conservative investments,” that’s a statement I can’t back.

If one’s timing is such that they bought these mining stocks in January – March 2008, or even the end of 2007, they may have lost 30% to 80% of their investment. This can hardly be considered “safe” or “conservative.”

While he does caution that volatility is present, it would have been helpful to guide the novice investor on how best to approach this current push higher. I see that he has a business that recommends these investments, so naturally there is an intent to get people to invest.

If one were to get into these mining stocks today, I would never recommend an “all-in” approach that burned many investors in 2008. Dollar cost averaging into a position and hoping the price goes down (I know, goes against rational thought when I say such things), so a person gets a better overall lower price, is all I would contemplate for people.

Today seems to be the blow-off that I wrote about last week when I said, “So while there still could be a push higher with the price of gold and silver to trap any shorts, the data right now tells me to be cautious and possibly take profit on trades. Market makers aren’t stupid and read the same data and charts as everyone else. One has to account for this in their trading.”

I have seen this pattern over and over throughout the years. Market makers will take a stock just over its previous high, and then pull the rug out from under it. That’s why I told “traders” to take profits on this double top we’re experiencing.

It seems that today the HUI will finally have broken through its March 2008 closing high. Now the dilemma is, will it keep on going with precious metal stocks finally leading gold, as they should, or will the market makers, whom I know can manipulate markets, push it back.

I’m all about taking profit. Greed is what kills anyone who thinks they can get more out of a trade. I go against the grain with my thinking because that’s the way I see it from experience and knowing what market makers do. They make a living at it. They’re not stupid, and technically have enough money to play both sides.

Remember, Goldman, J.P. Morgan et al are all bank holding companies now and hooked at the joint with the Fed. They can put money to use any way the Fed wants them to. The last thing the Fed can have happen is gold take off. It reveals the flaw in their game.

A holder of physical gold and silver doesn’t give a hoot. If the price of gold and silver fell 30% from here, have they lost anything? No, they still have wealth that they know will move much higher in the years to come. They only lose if they sell, but why would they sell?

The whole reason for buying physical gold and silver to begin with is not because of profit reasoning, although profit can be had, but as insurance against collapse and default of the dollar.

What we are seeing, is a demand for gold on a global basis, but we’re also seeing a rush to treasuries as people perceive them to be safe. That’s why the 10 year yield is below 2.5% and Japanese yields close to zero now, again.

What people don’t understand is just how bad off our banking system is and that’s what I’m writing about next. I would prefer traders take profit, wait for the correction, and buy physical gold and silver with their profits. That’s why I can call a top for traders. So yes, I too have an incentive….to get traders out of paper and into physical gold and silver.

Once the correction comes, it will result in the move in gold and silver of a lifetime. We will have entered phase III, the euphoria phase.

The real question owners of physical gold and silver will have to deal with as things begin to implode, is what would cause them to sell and what would they do with the proceeds if everything is imploding? Are they going to buy stocks or anything that is paper? Heck no. I do have ideas here, but that’s a whole different subject.

Just so you know, it’s very difficult for me, such a gold bull, to tell people to be cautious here. I am a conservative investor, which is why I emphasize the physical gold and silver. But I also know most investors don’t take profit. I am not a buy and hold advocate as this author is. I am a buy and take profit advocate when it comes to paper mining shares.

Right now investors are asking, is a 100% return good enough, or do I hold on and get 120%? How many times in an investors lifetime are they sitting on 100%, 200% or 300% returns? How many times have they obtained those returns and saw their profits disappear and then have to wait to build up the position again, only to be right back where they were?

The last line of my post on calling a trading top was; “What the investor in gold has to decide is if they are the tortoise or the hare; the Gordon Gecko or the Richest Man in Babylon.”

Now that the push higher has come, we could take off from here or fall back. A holder of physical gold and silver doesn’t care and a holder of paper gold and silver mining shares has to understand the risk they take in their quest for a few more dollars.

The paper traders who are up 100% or more aren’t technically up until they take that profit.

I hope this explains my point of view…and if not, I would be happy to expand on it…like what if I’m wrong thoughts???….(answer: a holder of physical gold and silver doesn’t care about price, as I said above…it’s a philosophy of what physical gold and silver represent that one needs to understand. At some point, all paper will be chasing the real wealth that gold and silver represent – this is what most don’t understand).

    Doug,

many, many thanks for your valuable insight and discussions here at the T-Room. I’ve enjoyed reading *every* thing you’ve posted. What you said in your last post is THE burning question I have…when the time comes to sell what do we do with the proceeds…green backs are no good, we will NEVER put down another dime in the market, and then there’s the whole issue of paying taxes on the profit from selling the gold/silver. They have us any way you slice it, it seems. These things seem to only work for the big guys and their foundations. Meanwhile, back at the ranch the hands are working hard trying to stay afloat. We are trying to look at the gold and silver as a means to continue to operate in the day to day world when it all comes tumbling down. Actually being able to profit from it would be, well….something like a dream come true.

    You Said:

Thankyou for your informative response. Yes, physical bullion is the only real investment, with mining stocks as a second best, perhaps a long second best. And a person would need to have either a financial advisor or experience in entering the market to precisely avoid a repeat of 2008.

Some are arguing however, eg. Neilson , that should a crash take place in 2010, that it will not have the net effect on mining stocks as it did in 2008, which arguably was crushing.

In respect of the bullion, what would you recommend in the way of storage. I have researched this somewhat and the options all have pros and cons that of course depend on amount, security measures, cost of storing, insurance etc.

    JJ,

that would be the first person I would point the finger at…Orszag, though I haven’t looked in to it.

I heard Webster Tarpley over the weekend delving into this. It’s another sad situation with these damn derivatives and credit default swaps. He said they’ve already rec’d $4 billion Euros in 2009, and will receive $19 billion Euros over the next 15 years and needs $6 billion on top of that…to bailout these derivatives speculators is going to cost Ireland no less than $50 billion Euros. Tarpley said this bank needed to be liquidated immediately. Delete, shred, whatever it takes to get rid of the derivatives and credit default swaps. Bankruptcy is the ONLY answer! Otherwise 1/3 of Ireland’s economy is nothing but debt.

He indicated this was a consequence of Ireland following the lead of Gordon Brown and the Labour Party setting up these bailouts. (sound familiar?) I bet they wished they’d NEVER signed that Lisbon Treaty now.

Here’s the kicker…he said this means, according to the markets, that Spain and Portugal will get theirs soon and Greece remains in deep trouble. Moodys downgraded Spain’s bonds on thursday.

I don’t blame that man for driving that cement truck right through the front doors. More power to him!

  85. Posted October 5, 2010 at 7:34 pm | Permalink

    Venice,

Yes, it is possible for the stock market crash to occur while the mining stocks don’t take the hit like circa 2008. But I also believe the stock market is manipulated and is not an indicator as to the true health of the economy. In my article where I was cautioning for a top in mining shares, I wrote that I am somewhat bullish on the overall market. This coming from a guy who understands true valuation, P/E ratios and what have you that clearly indicate otherwise.

In a sense, the market is always right. It is only I that am wrong.

But I like advising people to take profit from Mr. Market. This is never given as advice from the buy and hold crowd. They say its because people can’t time the market. I say people can and should. But that’s just me :-)

Of course, buy and holding physical gold is, as I have said, a different animal.

As to your storage query, for the portion you take physical possession of, I recommend to store it in a safe inside your home. This would be preferably under the fridge or in another area where it is cemented into the ground.

But here’s the key. Buy a second “dummy” safe you keep in a closet or something, and put $1 bills, some costume jewelry and maybe some fake old coins, enough to fool most thieves. This is the safe you lead the thief too if there ever was an attempt to rob your dwelling.

I don’t recommend safety deposit boxes at banks because of many reasons (I go into detail in my book). The main reason is, well, they are at a bank. Since I criticize banks heavily, and deservedly so, I want nothing to do with them.

When the FDIC comes knocking, you do not have immediate access to what is being stored for you by the bank. You will eventually, but not immediately. What occurs if a bank holiday is declared as it was pre 1933? No one can get at their money, whether it be in a safety deposit box or an account.

The last word on all of this, is tell no one. The old saying; “loose lips sinks ships” comes to mind here. I think that’s self explanatory.

For the portion of one’s portfolio that is held for storage, you just want it available to be sold at a moments notice or delivered with just a phone call. The fees one pays are minimal for the purpose of possibly taking some nice profit when the time comes or taking delivery because the time has come (where you know you need it). An ETF can only accomplish half of that option.

    Hope this helps some…

    Doug,

You have been more than helpful and I for one are most appreciative.

One should regard the market as a sophisticated gambling casino, where the house always wins. In that light, one should attempt to take profit where ever possible.

Many reasons for that, but essentially the market has morphed into a different animal in the last 10-15 years and I’m sure you would agree.

Everyone talks about “timing” the market as though it were a hardcore science. ALWAYS retrospective, market decisions are the finals steps taken after a confluence of factors have come into play. And yes some are better at that than others, often a function of much knowledge and experience.

But as you say the manipulation by a few is perhaps the single most important variable. So I completely agree with you, take it and run when you can. Aside from greed this may also explain the rise in day traders, a force to contend with in the markets.

    NO US Elections in 2010?

    Look at:

Be sure to look at the Archives

Is this what the Left is planning?

Is this what some of the Democratic supporters are
planning? Are some of these supporters
putting in a powder they call “Jock Strap”?

Is their budget about $100,000 to allow sending
75,000 Puffies to Republicans, their offices, and the
    homes of their supporters?

Are they trying to give Obama a reason to issue
a Presidential Order to shut down the 2010 elections
until the Puffie issue is resolved?

Are huge numbers of 99ers also playing Puffie to
force the US Government to take some action?

Is this Puffie stuff just a low cost US civil war?

ISLAMOPHOBIA; AS AMERICAN AS MOM AND APPLE PIE

“The current nativist impulse is not new. The right’s anti-Muslim campaign is eerily similar to 19th-century anti- Catholic bigotry in America. Catholics here were subject to discrimination and violence because many didn’t speak English; religious practices such as confession, veneration of saints and transubstantiation seemed alien; many of their women (nuns) donned strange garb; and they were characterized as a fifth column loyal to a sinister foreign power, the Pope.”

    JJ,

Europe is protesting, while we’re doing nothing – except showing up at a rally being good little boys and girls picking up our own trash, not carrying any offensive signs and following the Glen Becks and Sarah Palins of the world off the damn cliff. Sadly, these follower’s biggest concern is the lie the media is telling about the number of folks that showed up in D.C. for the rally de jour. They aren’t privy to anything else but this crap that’s being discussed ad nauseam.

I go back to the article I posted about our media not being as “diffused” as Europe’s is, as the reason they are in the streets and we are not. That’s why dual American/Israeli citizen Lieberman and others are so desperate to shut down the Internet. Unless folks take the time to ferret out what they’re hearing in other mediums BEYOND what’s being *delivered to them* every evening via cable/Dish along with their main course – their frozen t.v. dinners – Faux News *is* their version of “alternative news.”

    JJ,

Here’s what happened to Iceland. They are fighting tooth and nail and flat REFUSED to pay for the bankster’s casino habits. They told the IMF to get lost! There’s a woman, Bergita (sp?), who says she never knew anything about politics, stepped up to the plate and led her country in this fight. So far they’ve been very successful going through the courts to battle this.

If I remember correctly, last week their former PM was arrested in Venezuela in connection to this fraud. He was hiding out there after fleeing the country. Seems like there were several others that were either being held or Interpol arrest warrants were issued in connection to the 2008 collapse. Iceland definitely has become a role model.

Seems like the debts these banksters racked up were something like 12 times the country’s GDP. Don’t quote me on this figure, but it’s close.

NEW YORK TIMES CALLS FOR THIRD PARTY

Just finished listening again to Mike Piper’s show from Oct 4th and have a few more details supporting Venice’s summarization of the Mark Glenn/Michael Piper/Keith Johnson podcast earlier on this thread.

Piper’s prediction for a third party – a centrist party – in the next presidential election came directly from an op-ed piece in the New York Times this past Sunday, a rag he considers to be very influential. Thomas Friedman is *CALLING* for a third party. Essentially Piper sees this article as the notice this third party is being crafted before our very eyes.

Here’s an excerpt from the article:
“We have to rip open this two-party duopoly and have it challenged by a serious third party that will talk about education reform, without worrying about offending unions; financial reform, without worrying about losing donations from Wall Street; corporate tax reductions to stimulate jobs, without worrying about offending the far left; energy and climate reform, without worrying about offending the far right and coal-state Democrats; and proper health care reform, without worrying about offending insurers and drug companies.”

“We need a third party on the stage of the next presidential debate to look Americans in the eye and say: “These two parties are lying to you. They can’t tell you the truth because they are each trapped in decades of special interests.”…

Piper goes on to say if the New York Times is calling for a third party, it’s time to realize we are being set up to be taken down! He sees all kinds of establishment coming out of the woodwork to join in this third party. And…he says stupid Americans are going to buy it. He says DON’T!!! But, of course they will. Why wouldn’t they. Hell, we all are so desperate for something other than what we’ve had. He contends the “same rotten crowd that controls the mass media also created this current situation, AND are the same ones that are ripening the nation FOR a third party.” Sounds a bit like the Hegelian Dialectic: problem – reaction – solution. These same folks are energizing the Tea Party movement and building it up to promote the likes of Sarah Palin. He said not to discount the fact that Beck may be a possibility, too. This is when I ’bout choked on my coffee! He referred to another NY Times piece – NY Times Magazine – this past weekend where the cover story was Glenn Beck. Piper said reading it was like “OMG, Glenn Beck is the preferred party in this promo article.” Yes it has some critical elements, but for the most part Piper says it IS purely a promotional piece. Great, just what we need, another clown joining the circus on The Hill.

Now, you may want to sit down for this…Piper goes on to say one of the big historians of the Civil Rights movement, Taylor Branch, has affirmed the fact that Glenn Beck *is* following in the footsteps of Martin Luther King. Huh?! I thought to myself, you’ve got to be kidding. So, I backed up the podcast and sure enough that’s what Piper said. I bet Jessee and Al would have a few things to say about that. LOL

He said, you have to forget about your old ideas about liberals and conservatives; forget these old legends and theories and look at the realities. They’re right in front of us.

Looking at the news and looks like Pakistan has had enough. They set fire to more NATO tankers. This is day three. I believe I heard yesterday they closed some major route for these yahoos.

Rivero talked a bit about this yesterday. He said evidently these US drone attacks that are killing so many innocent civilians involve faulty, pirated software. He believes we’ll see more and more of this as these people say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

  107. Posted October 6, 2010 at 10:08 am | Permalink

So, the TP infiltrates the Republican base AND peels Indy’s away all the while the Dem’s are in shatters. This way, either Beck or Palin will win, thus a win win situation.

  108. Posted October 6, 2010 at 10:15 am | Permalink

Let me add, if Palin is the nominee of R Party and Beck is the nominee of this new Third Party then both win. Now, of course the two will have hand selected running mates who understand they are only stooges. Thus, when one Beck or Palin win, they preach the need for unity of both the TP and the R Party and the VP steps aside for let’s say the Secretary of State and the loser of the presidential contest joins the winner – therefore Palin and Beck are Prez and VPrez. Golly gee, isn’t that just great!

One more post from Piper’s show and then I’ll read the links you all have so kindly posted.

I thought this tidbit was a bit thought provoking, so I wanted to post it for that reason. Piper said we hear all this fear mongering about the Muslims taking over and forcing Sharia Law on us, but did anyone ever stop to think that we have been operating under Talmudic Law since 1913 when the Federal Reserve *System* took over. One of M. Rothschild’s biographers stated that everything he did was dictated by his zealous belief in the Talmud. Thus, it can be stated the Federal Reserve being a front for the Rothschild banking dynasty, this is in essence a Talmudic system under which we live and have been living since 1913.

Let that one sink in for a minute.

The entire system for any Rewards Program has always been a tracking device. Direct Marketing at its finest. I worked on several during my stint in advertising. I would NEVER signed up for any rewards program. It started out as something rather benign, a way to increase sales, but as with anything it gets taken to the extreme and ended up being used against folks.

that’s what Lindsey Williams reported back from his conversation with his elite friend…Celente and others have also predicted it. We wouldn’t necessarily see any severe food shortages, but prices would be so high one could barely afford to feed their family. Now, the caveat to that may be since that conversation there have been a few natural disasters, like the burning of the wheat fields in Russia and of course the situation in the Gulf.

I lived there for 2-1/2 years. I can tell you there was a lot of ill feelings against “whitey,” amongst the native Hawaiians, but not necessarily the Japanese living there. Knowing what I know now, it was probably more against the government instead of man. Don’t get me wrong, they were wonderful, wonderful people, VERY spiritual and deeply connected, but NOT happy at all that the white man had invaded their land. I can’t blame them. We were quite naive and had no idea. I saw a lot of “things” in people’s yards that reflected their ill feelings and yet at the time I knew nothing of what it meant.

    Venice,

After the price of gold correcting, I believe gold will enter its third stage, the euphoria stage. Richard Russell describes where the price of gold can go during this stage as “undreamed of heights.”

I used to participate on Richard Russell’s forum about 5 or 6 years ago and am still friends with many of the bright people from back then and many are clients. Russell closed it down because of the in-fight of the left vs. right posters. Sad.

I don’t think $1,500 is a big stretch. $2,000 and higher will be reached with ease.

The real question I have is how quickly will the lesser countries debase their currency in a race to the bottom. This is what Timothy Geithner was worried about too as he warned during a speech at the Brookings Institution today calling for “global cooperation.” http://www.nytimes.com/2010/10/07/business/global/07imf.html?src=busln

    Doug,

I guess that’s the central question on many minds.

    http://www.economist.com/content/global_debt_clock

An interesting global map of debt. As we can see North America, Europe Japan and Iceland have the highest debt, with Australia a close second. Brazil interestingly also has more debt than I expected.

Russia, China, India, indeed the majority of the East, with exception of Japan have the lowest debt. I don’t think they feel they need to play ball as urgently, recognizing of course that the world now is all playing the same stage.

China is now in the captain’s seat and she will determine how this ship will sail. Slowly, but with clarity and direction. Geithner can plead all he wants.

I like how for the country of Zimbabwe they say in that chart, “data not currently available.”

The guy on CNBC today used my line of Zimbabwe has had the best performing stock market (percentage wise) in the world. Of course it’s been 10′s of thousands percent below its inflation rate!

I agree about China. I personally believe Japan will implode and will be working on translating my book into Japanese next. Of course I’ll have to include the articles I’ve written that pertain to their country rather than the U.S. economy.

Japan is a great case study as to what I think will occur here and why things will take longer to develop than most think.

Of course Bernanke has to open his mouth just to keep inflation alive! And as I pointed out in the article above, the Fed is still relevant….for now.

I can’t believe people believe him!

I’ve downloaded most of the documents from the site on Hawaii’s De Jure Grand Jury Indictment against the state and a number of other defendants.

Interesting – this reminds me of the situation in the article I posted earlier on this thread — of the lawyer trying to help a property owner in New Orleans with her title. Don’t know if you read it or not. Similar situation to the native Hawaiians whose estate was handed down from generation to generation most likely with no title anywhere to be found, originally just an oral account of ownership.

I’m unclear how the executive order for national security info comes in to play here. Do you know?

Is Hawaii just occupied territory as we’ve heard before?

I’d like to know what your impression of all this is, or anyone else’s for that matter?

Not sure how to organize my thoughts on this yet, just read this morning about HI being used for the production of gmo food…

“I wanted to let the world know that Monsanto has made Hawaii the GMO research capitol of the world. The media and people are very controlled by the military occupation. They are using old cane fields on every Island to do their genetic manipulation of plants. This was the most pristine environment on earth until the U.S. came. I thought it was important for you to know no one or media is really helping with any stories from Hawaii, only small bits of info are getting out to the masses.”

    Prairie,

I wasn’t aware it was considered the GMO capital of the world. The story of the abandoned sugar cane fields/industry is a sad one indeed. There were abandoned fields on The Big Island, where we lived.

Another MAJOR problem on The Big Island is depleted uranium accumulated in the soil (and carried as dust in the air) in an area the army uses for weapons testing. The people were always fighting to get it cleaned up. The military always downplays the levels, or that it even exists. The military has really abused the land and the waters there, as you can imagine. …i digress…

I find it alarming they’re creating their genetically modified specimens especially knowing how strict Hawaii’s agriculture laws are on what comes in and what goes out from the islands. Luggage is searched at the airports specifically by their agriculture department.

There are so many organic farms there I can’t imagine these folks wouldn’t be freaking out about the possible cross contamination. Several of the eateries we frequented even had their own gardens out back. It was great!

I truly believe the U.S. took over the Hawaiian Islands because of their strategic location in the Pacific. Just like they did Diego Garcia Island, except the people were allowed to remain on the Hawaiian Islands.

One thing is certain they have a De Jour Grand Jury operating there – they are the ones that rendered the indictment about the theft of the land.

Prairie, I got dried beans and a 25 lb bag of rice too. We’re stocked for awhile. The freezer is full and refilled all of our favorite spices. Hubby gets it now.

About Hawaii, the Griffen interview w/Alex yesterday may shed more light on the GMO info. Why? It was two young men who lived in Hawaii who docuemnted day in and day out all of the chemtrail spraying they were witnessing. They contacted Griffen to see if he would help them figure out what was going on.

FEDERAL NOTARY BILL ATTEMPTS TO GRANT FULL PARDON TO LENDER, NOTARIES, WITNESSES
Neil Garfield | October 6, 2010 at 7:55 am | Tags: congress, House of representatives, notary, Obama, pardon, reserve currency, robo, Senate, singer | Categories: CDO, CORRUPTION, Eviction, GTC | Honor, Investor, Mortgage, bubble, currency, foreclosure, securities fraud | URL: http://wp.me/p7SnH-2rF

PRESIDENT OBAMA has headed for his desk of buildup would ratify the illegal practices revealed for the past three years on this blog and for the past three weeks and mainstream media. He might just as well issue Robo signed presidential pardons for the thousands of people involved in defrauding homeowners, investors and the entire judicial system. Send him a letter and tell him not to sign it.
Under the guise of simply reflecting changes in technology, the bill would force state and federal courts to recognize and accept the notarization from another state. This would be true even if the notary signed in blank. It would be true even if the witnesses were not present despite the recitation to the contrary signed by the notary. It would be true even if the main person signing the alleged document was not the person named as having signed the alleged document. It would be true even if the main person signing the alleged document was not present or identified by the notary. In other words under this new bill passed by both the House of Representatives and the Senate, both essentially bought and paid for by the financial services industry, all of the illegal, improper and criminal acts performed by the “lenders” (mainstream media insists on using this term even though it is not true) would be made legal. That sounds like a pardon to me, how about you?
If Pres. Obama signs this bill it will become law. At that point, more than half of the meritorious defenses of borrowers (homeowners) or petitioners in bankruptcy courts will go down the drain. The fact that this bill even got introduced without the mainstream media taking note is not really surprising considering the fact that mainstream media has failed to grasp the true scope of this fraud which began with the first sale of a fake mortgage bond to an investor. A fake financial services product was marketed to investors who believed they were lenders and two homeowners who believed they were borrowers, both of whom were mere pawns in the Wall Street game. Now that the foreclosures are obviously fake, lawmakers responsive to the demands of the financial services industry have quietly passed a bill in both houses of Congress that would allow the fraud to be ratified and the perpetrators to escape any accountability whatsoever.
If Pres. Obama signs this bill he will be condemning the victims of this fraud to bear the full cost of the losses. If Pres. Obama signs this bill he will be awarding the perpetrators of this fraud all of their winnings. In case anybody hasn’t been looking, another development which has been ignored by our mainstream media is that countries around the world are looking for an alternative reserve currency to replace the once almighty US dollar. The reason they are looking is because they no longer have confidence in a system that produced a Wall Street scheme which in essence depreciated the value and viability of currencies and economies all over the world.
If Pres. Obama signs this bill he will be giving a signal to the world that the United States will be more vigilant, more sophisticated and much more involved in enforcement of laws, rules and regulations already existing in the marketplace and upon which all investors, lenders, homeowners, borrowers and foreign governments had placed reasonable reliance and suffered to their detriment. The loss of our status as the issuer of the world’s reserve currency will have profound consequences on our nation, our citizens, our businesses, and the prospects for generations of Americans yet unborn.

Three years ago folks just wanted to debate me and prove me wrong, now they are listening and saying what can I do? It’s amazing to me how little responsibility people take for themselves. And for the most part these are smart people. I am likely the ONLY individual in our neighborhood semi prepared for what is obviously heading our way, yet I tried to put together an emergency neighborhood group to start educating folks, spent two months writing a letter and a survey and then both bailed on me. Living the lost dream occupies their mind. It’s sad, frustrating and infuriating all at the same time. All I can say is their lesson is going to be soooooo much harder than ours. We know the Queen an Gaia idiot Prince is whacked mentally. We know the Chinese own half if not all of the resources in America. We know Congress is the arm of the Mafia Banksters who pretend to serve as POTUS and Wall Street elite.

We know the UN is the major player taking down our way of life, our freedoms and our lands.

The police force has been training with Mossad agents for like forever now. Our once proud militias are so fractured and watered down they aren’t a threat. Our national guard’s now report directly to the WH in the case of any emergency, not the Governor’s.

    Pray tell, who is left?

I just got off the phone with my bank in regard to the refinance. He can’t tell me why they haven’t been contacting me back or who holds the title to my house. The putz doesn’t have a clue about the mortgage fraud or is playing dumb. If they can’t find my title I won’t refinance- I may just quit paying and squat in my house!

Helen, Thanks for including us men! :-)

JJ, re; your neighbor, I used to battle it out many years ago with exchanges of points of view that differ. I have an idea for you that I have been able to incorporate in winning people over to my point of view, rather than “losing the one friend/neighbor” you have.

It’s rather simple, but has to be well thought out in advance.

Since you have the answers…and they don’t, the way to bring them to your point of view, where they actually come to conclusions themselves, rather than you telling them what to think, is to simply ask questions.

Ask questions (Socrates method) and never give an answer…but ask another question.

It is your questions that lead them to your thinking, but their own answers that changes their thinking. Why do they change? Because it’s their words, not yours.

In that sense, you keep your friend/neighbor and now have something you share that strengthens your friendship.

The urge will be to tell everyone what you know, but the secret lies in them answering the questions as to what they don’t know. You can give answers through the asking of the next question.

Is it perfect? No. It does take practice. Is it better than offending or getting into an argument? Of course.

A quick example. I was in Dublin, Ireland a few years ago and was at a pub and went to the restroom. An Irishman standing next to me asked me the question; Are you American? I said yes. He next asked are you Protestant or Catholic? I asked him, do you like more your mother or your father?

He laughed. (There’s no right answer, just an understanding – in a foreign country, not knowing who he was, the wrong answer could have led to trouble)

My philosophy is always, the first to anger loses. I always try to discuss rather than dictate (except on gold ha). I never get angry…even though the tactics and language of others tries to push my buttons to cause me to react.

It’s simple for the other side to do…. to attack the person, not the message. Call someone a Nazi or conspiracy theorist or racist are the usual tactics. But if one is prepared in advance with 25 rebuttals to each one of those, then its on to the next question.

Just some thoughts from the peanut gallery….

    Prarie,

I read what you wrote above regarding them trying to find your title. I’ve heard this a few times.

If you have equity and a higher interest rate, refinancing is something I would recommend.

Like Japan, we could be in for a longer period of lower interest rates than most expect. As long as you have a fixed rate and can make the payments, you’re fine. If interest rates trickle lower, you can possibly refinance again, if the numbers work out, but there isn’t much room for rates to fall.

What’s next, 3%, 30 year home mortgages? What bank owner in their right mind would do that?

While I do expect a further decline in real estate prices, securing a better deal for yourself makes sense.

I remember 25 years ago (mid 80′s) the owners of real estate in the area I lived bragging about their 5% fixed loan. At some point, you’ll be bragging too…and with a better rate than them!

If someone is underwater with their mortgage, that is a different story. In that case, an attorney should be contacted to see what the ramifications of stopping paying their mortgage and squatting in their property will have.

Isn’t it ironic that the people who took on so much debt, lived high on the hog with the constant refinancing, now get to live for free? Or they are given money by this administration to keep from foreclosing. The one’s who did everything right aren’t given anything, but rather, taken from.

    A mess indeed!

    Doug,
Thank you. I am not underwater, I do have more than enough equity to refinance even if my home price has dropped significantly. I just want to know where my title is first, if they don’t know…well… sucks to be them. And, yes, doing things the right way seems to be cause for punishment.

    Prarie,

That’s why I was careful in saying “if someone is underwater…” Naturally someone as bright as yourself would have done the right thing (smile).

It’s tough because people whom I know personally are struggling with what to do and have asked me the same type of question.

I have a divorced friend with 5 kids who has had to stop paying her mortgage. My advice was to do what she could to get out of debt and stay in the house as long as possible without paying.

The kids may lose the house they grew up in, and it could still cost her some, but at least for now she can take care of her family.

Unfortunately, I expect things to get worse for real estate ala Japan’s example. I’ve written a few articles on it.

But have you ever met a realtor who said real estate is going to go down and now’s not a good time to buy….I think you should wait? hehe…

These truly are interesting times. I actually find it quite fascinating to do research and come to conclusions as I’m sure you do to as well as others here from what I’ve read.

I can’t say I’m happy with the results of my research and I don’t see the green light at the end of the tunnel for our economy.

It was FDR who adopted the theme song “Happy Days Are Here Again” for the Democratic Party with his run for President in 1932. How ironic the depression lasted for 13 more years…

I think I have a title for a future article!

Obama’s First Veto Will Be H.R. 3808—Mortgage Foreclosure Documentation Bill

Coco Chanel, before she became famous for perfumes, was a milliner. She made hats for the finest French High Society women. And Coco knew that her clients would never accept her hat designs without wanting to “tinker” to prove who was in charge. So, before showing her hats to her clients, Coco would stick a bright orange feather into the middle of the hat. The client would come in and marvel at the hat, then explain that the orange feather just did not look right. Coco would smile and remove the offending feather and deliver the hat. The client was happy for having control over the design while Coco was happy because the hat was being worn as she intended it to be. In other words, the orange feather existed for no other reason than to be removed to make the client happy. It did not actually change anything.

So, we come to this bill, H.R. 3808, which sailed through Congress without any debate at all, clearly an onerous piece of abusive legislation that did indeed arouse the public anger… as it may have been planned to do. Because now Obama has, just before the election, a bright orange feather he can pluck out and discard before the eyes of the voting public, to reassure the gullible that they have the “semblance” of control of what goes on.

Helen, thanks! Appreciated meeting you, your husband and father-in-law via the phone.

Would have been easier with a slide show, but I hope they read the first four chapters of my book and if there are any further issues to resolve, let me know. As you can tell, I am not your normal pushy salesman, ha. I try to educate first and then its a matter of what makes sense for one’s portfolio and where we are in the market.

The crystal ball will clear up over time as we know what gold and silver will do. Short term pullbacks are natural occurrences and to be expected.

    Venice,

The hardest thing for me to see with predicting a breakout in the mining stocks represented by the HUI index, is the fundamental reason as to why. Of course long term I can easily make the case for gold and silver higher, but just on a short term technical basis, it’s difficult for me to get behind.

I don’t see the treasuries deteriorating yet, but I do see them strengthening. The 10 year is now under 2.40% and if one looks at TBT, the ultra-short 20 year, it’s at multi-year lows.

The mining stocks are supposed to lead gold but all they have done is catch up to their 2008 highs.

So I do agree we are at the cusp of either breaking out or pulling back. The price action today showed a little strength in the dollar index and a big pullback in gold from its overnight highs. The dollar index didn’t gain that much! Very interesting to me.

I wrote an article today to kind of further my point of view.

When it comes to speculating on gold and silver, I am a big fan of buying the physical for 10% of one’s portfolio as a base, and being patient to buy at the right opportunities (pull-backs) for the mining stocks, and taking profit too.

If the mining stocks took off from here, I can change my mind, but I still don’t see it happening with the treasuries still getting stronger.

It all has me very intrigued which is why I wrote so much this week. I just try to give information so people can make good decisions. The problem for most is they don’t take profit on their “trades.” Holders of physical gold don’t give a hoot what happens. They know long term what will occur and they are positioned for it.

If you find me a gold bug or financial advisor who is ever cautious on precious metal shares, let me know, lol. I may be alone on this, ha.

Ron Paul wrote me a personal note I received today and thanked me for sending him a copy of my book. I think I’ll frame it!

  255. Posted October 7, 2010 at 8:32 pm | Permalink

Hey…found one who agrees with me…rare indeed. When an advisor these days recommends taking profit (and I’m talking about the traders of mining stocks here, not holders of physical gold and silver), I have to give them some respect.

One can’t go broke taking profit!

Interesting references to Japan. Doug I checked your site, but didn’t see your work on Japan. Do you have a link?

As I’ve mentioned before on this blog, I am following the financial picture, not so much to make personal financial decisions (though I won’t deny that it helps), but because understanding the financial developments massively informs one of the political developments.

Japan indeed is a subject worthy of understanding, because this seems to be where the U.S. is headed. There is much complexity here and since economics has not been my field of study, it now presents itself a challenge.

    BTW,

I for one don’t give too heavy an emphasis on technical analysis, because the instruments involved as for eg. stock selection for HUI index, can be misleading.

Measuring instruments are always manmade and are inherently limited.

For more important to understand the dynamic forces at play, of which technical analysis is one component. Correct me if I’m wrong.

IMF CALLS FOR A NEW ROUND OF HUGE BANK BAILOUTS – The audacity of these sociopaths…unbelievable! Who will stand up and say NO MORE?

I call for letting the big banks fail, wiping the debt slate clean and starting over. Then…arrest these criminals and lock ‘em up!

…”And the banks and their water-carriers in the central banks, IMF and other agencies will repeatedly say the same thing over a number of years to slowly get the banks’ $20-40 trillion dollars worth of debt mopped up by the taxpayer.

See how that works? If people knew that the giant banks have created a black hole of debt large enough to suck most of the world economy into it, and that the debt was created through fraud and wild gambling and speculation, demands to break up the giant banks and imprison their management would be overwhelming.
    So they hide it.

Instead, they leak out a little information about their debt in dribs and drabs over the course of many months and years, acting surprised that there’s still debt on their books due to “unexpected” conditions in the economy. The party line is and will continue to be that these conditions aren’t their fault, but are due to the bad housing market, or unemployment, or other conditions “out there in the economy” and not of their making. And, of course, bailouts are needed to deal with these “unforeseen” events.”…

    FORECLOSUREGATE – by Ellen Brown

For those of you not familiar with the name, Ellen Brown is the author of the book, “Web of Debt” – it is an excellent ‘primer’ to understanding the system and, as the title indicates, the web of debt.

I find her writing style, as is the same with Doug’s, enables one to understand in layman’s terms what is really going on, and possible solutions. But, you be the judge…

Hi Venice, if you haven’t done so, these are the two articles where I compare Japan’s deflationary era with what the U.S. is possibly going through. I do these kinds of analysis for my own understanding and see what picture the pieces of the puzzle form for me.

    http://buygoldandsilversafely.com/economy/is-the-u-s-following-in-japan%E2%80%99s-deflationary-footsteps-part-2/

Not trying to overload you, :-) …but always open to discussing if you want to. What I write may be different than most gold bulls one reads. I took time to understand the deflationary aspect of things rather than take the inflationists at their word. My conclusions have led me to conflicting data with the inflationists, but that data is verified by Professor George Reisman, PhD (Pepperdine) and Professor Steve Keen PhD (Australia), among many others.

  276. Posted October 8, 2010 at 11:24 am | Permalink

    Hi Helen,

    Here are the critical details…

    Gold and silver up.

    All currencies down.

Everything else is speculation, manipulation and faith.

Jon Nadler from Kitco.com has been calling for a fall in gold it seems like forever. Same with Ron Rosen, another Elliott Wave theorists I follow.

The problem with Elliott Wave theorists is they don’t take into account external influences. In a perfect world, they can be useful.

Today gold went up because of the bad unemployment numbers. Just more data to be thrown into the mix for traders to consider.

Holders of the physical metals just go about their business and don’t sweat the daily fluctuations.

Fleckenstein came out yesterday and said gold was going to over $8,000 an ounce. Peter Schiff says over $5,000 an ounce.

The hardest thing a holder of physical gold will have to do is decide when to sell. What a great situation to be in eh?…as long as the proceeds can be converted to another form of wealth…ha!

    Prarie,

    Thanks for the article.

My speculation is this is just a ploy by the banks, especially Bank of America, to not have to quantify anymore of these lower priced assets marked to market on their books.

How convenient is it for them to put a stop to foreclosures, especially after these banks let people squat in their homes without paying anything, as many have done for over a year now.

I am going to wait till next week for my banking article, but I’ll include this suspicious maneuver after doing a little more digging.

Breaking News Alert: Sen. Reid calls on major lenders to halt foreclosures in all 50 states
    October 8, 2010 12:56:43 PM
    —————————————-

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) called on major lenders to halt foreclosures in all 50 states Friday following Bank of America’s announcement it was stopping proceedings until it finishes reviewing possible paperwork problems.

Reid, who had sent a letter to major banks asking them to suspend foreclosures in Nevada, extended his concern to include all 50 states.

“I thank Bank of America for doing the right thing by suspending actions on foreclosures while this investigation runs its course,” said Reid. “I urge other major mortgage servicers to consider expanding the area where they have halted foreclosures to all 50 states as well.”

He emphasized, “My primary focus is to protect Nevada homeowners who have been hardest hit by foreclosures in the most recent economic downturn.”

Looks like the military has been infiltrated by neocons aka Christian Zionists/Right Wingers/Dominionists – Gordon Duff

“These threats, these tactics meant to enfeeble the presidency, encumber democracy and paralyze the government are nothing compared to the dangers America faces with strategic nuclear forces under the control of an apocalypse death cult, the “American Taliban” that runs the Air Force Academy and other service academies in a manner more consistent with prison camps than schools. Proselytizing, not only through intimidation but the systematic use of “mind control” techniques, decades of these practices, has created a monster among us, a military force no longer American in the sense that serving the constitution and supporting democratic ideals defines “American.””

    Finally got to the articles.
First off, I’ve read in several sources that gold and silver will do well in either an inflationary or deflationary environment, so that’s the most critical point.

Secondly you’re right about the ingoing debate about inflation/deflation. But from what I can see the consensus appears that we’ll see deflation in the near term, later followed by significant inflation.

Third, there have been alarm bells now for some months about the number of banks scheduled to be closed across the country. There have dozens already closed. It is forecasted that in a couple of years, there may be at best 10 standing, with the usual financial institutions like JPM etc, remaining. The role of the banks as lenders of course will be massively curtailed. Any thoughts?

The White House announced Thursday that the president won’t sign a bill that makes it tougher for homeowners to contest foreclosures. But Mr. Obama won’t whip out his veto pen and send the measure back to Capitol Hill. In fact, he won’t do anything about it all, claiming he’s using his “pocket veto” to prevent the legislation from becoming law.

The president’s plan to use the pocket veto in this case mystifies many on Capitol Hill. And the dispute cuts to the essence of how a bill becomes a law and the prerogatives afforded the legislative and executive branches of government.

Article I, Section 7 of the Constitution requires the president to sign every bill to make it law. If the president opposes the legislation, the Constitution says “he shall return it, with his Objections to that House in which it shall have originated.”

But that same portion of the Constitution indicates that “any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten Days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the Same Shall be Law, in like Manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their Adjournment prevent its Return, in which Case it shall not be Law.”

    That’s a pocket veto.

In other words, if Congress is out of town, the president doesn’t have to sign a bill into law. Nor does he have to veto the package and sent it back to Congress. If lawmakers are away, the president can in essence stash the bill in his pocket and walk away. That effectively dispatches the issue into legislative oblivion.

This is the essence of the dispute now brewing between the White House and Capitol Hill.

Prairie, I am so sorry to hear about Emma and, Helen, I’m sorry to hear about your mom. I hope things will get better soon. Prairie, you did the right thing not allowing the boys to get flu shots. They don’t need them. They need to get the flu to continue building their immune system.

I shared this story in a side email with Prairie already – though I may have had it backwards – My husband has had his share the last couple of days with patients coming in through ER one whose disease is well controlled the other one’s disease is not active. He firmly believes the one patient, who’s disease is inactive, is there with pneumonia most likely because of complications from her recent vaccine. Sadly he says she will not be going home. It breaks his heart to see this happening.

Another patient who has emphysema and operates on very limited lung capacity was also admitted. When he headed up to ICU to see him, he came in the room just as the nurse was asking the patient if he’d had his vaccines this year. He hit the roof! Gave that girl a quick rundown on vaccines especially in immunosuppressed people AND his personal feelings about vaccines — explained to her NONE of his patients are to have vaccines. Evidently there’s a “reminder” sheet that gets put in the front of everyone’s chart.

btw, dell returned my pc today and replaced the mother board but not the hard drive…guess folks at dell don’t read their tickets…anyhoo, we are having them send the hard drive and mike will put it in. once i’m fully operational, with new innards, i will be asking y’all what items you’d like to see added to the site to make it more user friendly. start thinking about what those items may be so time isn’t wasted in getting the plugins loaded onto the site. thanks, the T-Room Proprietress aka Helen

    Prairie,

if Helen is doing inventory in the cellar tonight, we may not see her ’til tomorrow. LOL

thought I’d let you know I haven’t caught any coons YET, but we did catch a possum. UGH! It was nasty. We keep moving the trap from the back to the front to the back again based on the tell tale signs of the previous nights dining. They’ve outsmarted us. Meanwhile, I have no Agapanthus left in one of my back beds. They have decimated them.

The animal control guy said they’ve had a lot of calls for this neighborhood this year – big raccoon population. Guess the word’s out about the fine dining.

    JustMe,

I’m not a a squeamish person, but I draw a line with possums. Though not native to Canada, they apparently were imported via motor vehicles, and now they have a cozy home here!

Love coons, even though they are a ghastly menace, but possums, well let’s just I am not friendly with them. Catch them and remove them as far as possible.

4closurefraud is reporting that The Senate session is still formally open, and if so, our President may have just lied – directly – to The American People.

The word is out that Pres. Obama’s pocket veto of the Digital Robo-Signing Act was actually a trick. Sen. Harry Reid didn’t actually adjourn the U.S. Senate. The Senate has been kept in session by a little understood ruse and the bill will become law tonight at midnight without the President’s signature.

Prarie and Helen, prayers are with you and yours…

Helen, a run on rasberry beer and pinot grigio? What do you do?

Venice, we concur on points 1 and 2 and #3, I just finished my latest article. Took up my whole day, but I feel good about it.

It’s called; The Real Reason Bank of America Halts Foreclosure In 50 States – They’re Broke!

I am sending the link to Helen.

Helen may or may not cross post. She of course has my permission anytime. It’s about the message, not me.

I just hope what I write makes sense to people. I just try to get them to think for themselves.

This article is one that I almost don’t want people to read, because if what I speculate is true, then I don’t like what is to come.

And it also made me rethink some of what I’ve written in the past week on trading gold and silver stocks. But I’m still a believer in the metal ownership over paper as you know. At some point, that paper has to be converted to a medium of exchange that one can use. If people are rushing out of dollars at some point, this will be a problem. Better to hedge with the physical first, and then play the paper game. That’s all I ask of people.

I look forward to your article, if Helen can walk a straight walk back from the cellar!!

    Venice,

I think possums are creepy varmints, too. I don’t know what the natural prey is. I have to say it was so funny to see this “handler” come to pick up the catch and just reach in the cage and grab the animal by the nape of the neck and haul him to the van. The whole time the possum dangling from his grasp and “playing possum.” Not even putting up a fight.

Found out our neighbors across the street on occasion forget and leave their dog food out at night, only to wake up and find the coons have indulged themselves on said cuisine.

The coons are cute, but when I read the article last year of the elderly couple being attacked in broad daylight by the coon she was shooing off from the porch…I change my impression. Then when they started digging massive holes in my newly landscaped beds – well…they’re not so cute anymore.

    Doug,

Too curious, ran to your website to read the article. Very informative and yes your line of reasoning is chrystal clear.

I guess the Federal Reserve is positioning itself to take over the banks, the few that will be left, or more precisely, take over their administration. How convenient.

    JustMe,

Now that you mention it, yes I remember the coons attacking that poor woman. I think it may have you that posted it, didn’t you? Doesn’t matter, its horrendous nonetheless.

Went for a walk last night with a friend and saw a young coon among the garbage. That beautiful face unfortunately does not betray such a hostile temperament.

My neigbor in Indiana fed the coons dog food cause she thought they were cute. Often the coons would get in my shed and tear into the dog food. Perhaps if this is what they are coming for and looking for, you should use it as bait. Just thinkin’.

Been over reading more on the HI post. Here is the key to it, IMO.

“You see, ALL MORTGAGES and attachments made in, to and or with and by the State of Hawaii, Inc. is INVALID AND VOID. Retroactively to Jan. 17, 1893. Anything collaterally related to any title, right and or interests in the archipelago is done in deception and fraud. All commercial transactions, treaty, agreements and economic compacts. ALL VOID for being executed under the disguise of a United States approved transaction using illegaly obtained private probate estate assets which belong to and are still in the name of kanaka Maoli at present.”

    Then there is this statement:

“United States heavily guarded concealed source of credit and financial support in 3/4 of the world economy, which happens to be in the archipelagic royal patented nation of ko Hawaii pae aina and its territories and dependencies, recognized by trilateral treaty in 1854, by and between France, United Kingdom and United States. ”

Combine it with the 1.8 million acres of ceded land that the fed has laid claim to, the apparent plan to grow GMO crops, and it seems we have set up an army in HI, disguised as a state government, to protect the financial terrorists and eugenics freaks.

So, 3/4 of the world economy runs through U.S. illegally occupied territory? Is this the bottom line?

    Prairie,

I don’t know why I can’t wrap my head around this Hawaii thing. There is a LOT of land – at least on The Big Island – prime ocean front property – that was “The Queen’s property. Off limits to developers. The state owned it – for all intents and purposes – and some was used as camp grounds. I VAGUELY remember this exclusive development near the hospital where some very high dollar investors had begun building their homes in this exclusive community had stopped mid-stream – for reasons I remember having something to do with who had title to the land – sitting unfinished for at least 2 plus years. Maybe this is an example of what the poster on Four Winds is talking about. I don’t know. I have to say it was like living in a foreign land, though considered part of the U.S. I did love it, and I do miss it.

Why do you think this person is posting this stuff in the first place, Prairie?

  351. Prairie
    Posted October 8, 2010 at 9:54 pm | Permalink

Here is my guess. The land does not belong to the fed or the state. See how he always refers to it as HI inc. The “state” of HI is acting as an arm of the fed in illegally occupying HI. Then they say 1.4 million of the 1.8 acres goes back to the state- bull chit. The fed and state are acting like a foreign army.

Next, the 3/4 of the world economy is funded through HI, which we now know is the archipelagic royal patented nation of ko Hawaii pae aina. And if I am getting close to understanding, the U.S. has used this 1.8 million acres as an asset to finance “3/4 of the world economy.” Pretty much like stealing the neighbors car and using it for collateral on your boat.

“U.S. AND WORLD BANK ARE USING THE Kingdom of Hawaii to move assets through the postal union.”

“…The Kingdom of HI is the United States heavily guarded concealed source of credit and financial support” I am guessing the land was/is being used as a U.S. asset. The same land we learn belongs to the sovereign people of HI. This is only my interpretation. It sure is confusing.
